On the last day of school before the holiday break, class parties were happening all over campus. Following Mrs. Dillon's time honored tradition, the Intermediate classes on both tracks incorporated something special into their festivities – Blanket Making! Inspired by the book, The Quiltmaker's Gift by Jeff Brumbeau, kids, teachers, and moms made fleece tied blankets which were donated to local families in need. At least one of those families is living in their car this winter.
This magical moment was fun for the kids but most significantly, the focus was on giving to others. Thank you to all who participated, and to Mrs. Dillon for heading up the project and delivering the blankets to Family Action Network, who distributed them to families.
