Next Monday and Tuesday are E&E days because of Memorial Day, so that means no classes on campus. Maybe you’ll use these days to catch up on school work, do some extra reading, take a field trip, travel, or something else. But if you’re looking for a little project to inspire and capture the artful side of your kids (or yourself!), we discovered a dazzlingly beautiful one that you might really get into.
This art form fits in perfectly with our Medieval studies, resembling the work seen in illuminated manuscripts. Maybe your kids will create something that can be used for decoration at our History Day Medieval Feast? Or just a spectacular personalized piece of art to display in your home. This would also make a great summer project:

Now this may seem a little overwhelming when you see all the steps, but the end result is so lovely! There's a special kind of peace and tranquility that comes when you make time to draw and paint, so slow down for a spell while you let your inner artist out – no rushing though this one! And your kids will love spending time doing this with you.
