A few weeks ago SLO Classical Academy held a Morning Mixer of Gratitude, to thank all of the coaches, teachers and mentors that contribute the the development of our kids, and to give those guests an opportunity to market their businesses to our community here at SLOCA. It was a great success!
We received some wonderful feedback from those who attended, and wanted to share a couple of comments – we want you to know that the community is noticing the difference in our kids, and experiencing the wonder of what SLOCA contributes.
Here’s one:
Thank you so much for hosting this event. It was great to get to see what my riding students are always talking about when they come to lessons. It is so important to receive the education that YOUR school gives them. I notice a massive difference between my SLOCA students and my public school students in many ways. The SLOCA students are amazing kids and I could not imagine them languishing in a public school setting.
I have been in Iraq (in the Marine Corps) China (as an American Parliamentary Debate instructor), Russia (working in orphanages), England (to finish my BA), Ireland, and other countries and it is refreshing…no…astounding to see that 'our' kids have the opportunity to be educated in this manner. THANK YOU for your work, and your influence on our future!! You give me hope.

And another parent shared this from a guest she invited:
Just wanted to give you feedback from my daughter's ballet teacher who came this morning. She said it was refreshing to see that “she’s not alone in trying to teach/build character”. She said it was of particular importance to her of late as they grow their ballet program (12 years old–also started in the director’s garage!). She was so pleased that she had community partners who share their vision of shaping a generation who value integrity, humility, and gratitude. Thank you!
