Did you know that some of our students made it on the local news? March 2nd was Read Across America day and KSBY did a piece on one of our Friday Academy Club instructors, Mr. Brendan Kelso. Mr. Kelso, who is a local author and Playing with Plays company owner, was a successful engineer who left the engineering field in pursuit of his passion for classic literature. His mantra: “Get all kids in the world to like Shakespeare!”

That’s so cool! We always love watching the performances Kelso coordinates for our kids. Such talent among the teacher and students – a real treat for us all!
This was so fun seeing Mr. Kelso’s work and this Academy Class on the news! I know Calvin sure loves this class and we are fortunate to have Mr. Kelso teaching and mentoring these students.
