DESCRIPTION:The Opening Lines of Homer’s Iliad (Possibly Adapted…)\nSing\, Goddess\, of the battle to ensue\nBetween 1st through 12th grade\, and Kinder\, too!\n“Incalculable pain” will not be known\,\nBut rather\, joy down to the bone! \n— \nWe close this year of studying the Ancients with a History Day of epic proportions—2026 SLOCA Olympics! Primary through High School students will be split into teams to face off in a series of challenges\, both physical and mental. Who will win the glory? \nWhile not required\, Kinder students are invited to join in the fun for this History Day and join Kinder-only teams to compete in the same games! For more details on Kinder participation\, please contact Ms. Hardin (mskatie@sloclassical.org). \nSchedule\n3:45 PM — Check-In\n4:15 PM — Opening Ceremony\n4:45 PM — Let the Games Begin!\n6:45 PM — Closing Ceremony\n7:00 PM — Official End + Family Picnic \nParking\nParking is available at the Grand Campus and in the neighborhoods south of the 101 Highway.
