SUMMARY:Imagination Celebration (Science Night)
DESCRIPTION:Imagination Celebration: Adventures in Science  \nPrepare to be astounded as students share their scientific findings as a result of weeks of imagining\, researching\, testing\, questioning\, journaling\, and then\, oftentimes\, doing it all over again. Let’s come together to celebrate all that they have accomplished!  \nSchedule:\nThursday\, Feb 27th\, 5-7:30pm\nSLOCA Main Campus (165 Grand Ave) \n4:30-7:30: Dinner Fundraiser open for purchase\n5:30-7:30 Bake Sale Open\n5:00 – 5:10:  Welcome on the field for Track A\n5:10 – 6:00: Track A and HS presentations\n6:00 – 6:20:  Intermission\n6:20 – 6:30:  Welcome on the field for Track B\n6:30 – 7:20: Track B and HS presentations\n(Students should arrive 15 minutes before their session to set up your display. High School students will receive information in class as to which session they will present.) \nAbout our Imagination Celebration!\nThere will be 2 session times: Track A + HS will present from 5:10-6:00\, intermission from 6:00-6:20\, then Track B + HS will present from 6:30-7:20. Visitors can move freely about the Imagination Celebration\, wandering through classrooms and the MPR. An event map will be available at check in along with each student’s name and where they will be presenting. We welcome you to stay for both sessions\, enjoying a multitude of student presentations.  \nDinner and a Bake Sale!\nHigh School Theater and Athletics are hosting a chili dinner during our Imagination Celebration. Dinner includes a bowl of delicious home-made chili\, a bag of crunchy Fritos\, and a refreshing drink for only $10! No need to worry about how to feed your family this night. We’ve got you covered. Come by and check it out! Dinner will be served from 4:30-7:30 PM on the small playground. Payment via cash\, check\, or Venmo. Want to help out and earn volunteer hours? Sign up here. Go Grizzlies !\nOur Bake Sale will be open 5:30pm-7:30pm and will benefit Tiny and Little Wonders.  \nHow to support our students!\nPlease remember that the students who are presenting will be ready and eagerly waiting for someone to stop by to hear their presentation! Parents and students are encouraged to look for students that need an audience\, and fill that space. The goal is for every student to have the opportunity to share their presentation  to a rapt audience many times. Let’s work together to make that happen! \nParking!\nARRIVE EARLY! Parking is extremely limited on campus. The Teach parking lot will be available\, but has very few spots. A few timed spots are available on Slack St. There is unpermitted parking on the other side of the freeway on Grand Ave and in the neighborhoods. The SLOCA vans will be shuttling families from the Vet’s Hall as we have done for past events. Please park on the streets surrounding the Vet’s Hall\, do not park in the Vet’s Hall or any business parking lots. Meet the vans at the SLOCA sign on the corner of Grand and Palm. A map will be provided before the event.\nFOLLOW SIGN RESTRICTIONS SO YOU DON’T GET TICKETED!
