Welcome to Down Home, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy’s blog! We are a classical school offering several options to make our education work for families with infants through high schoolers. Our signature hybrid program, which is part-time classroom and part-time home instruction, provides an engaging education for preschool through middle school (with full time options available). We also have a university model high school. This blog is meant to support and encourage on the home front because, in so many ways, the heart of what happens at SLO Classical Academy happens down home.

There’s so much to see and do in ancient Egypt – let’s discover some of them this week, and get right to the mix-ins!

The Pyramid Code – A team of experts answers questions about the scientific understanding of the ancients. Rated TV-PG

Tour a Tomb in the Valley of the Kings – This 3D tomb tour is from the Theban Mapping Project. Click on “Atlas of the Valley of the Kings” at the top of the page, then in the pop-up box, click on “3D Tomb” at the bottom, then “Start Tour”.

Explore the Great Pyramid –  Enter the pyramid with 360 degree imagery. Click “Launch interactive”, then select “Khufu Pyramid” and click on “Inside Khufu”.
