It’s that time again… we have some fun supplemental links to share with you today, all relating to our history studies for Trimester 3. There is SO much online about this era of history, but here is a nice list to choose from if you have E&E time to fill, or if your kids want to play around a bit more with these topics. As always, this is completely optional and for your enrichment, so use these resources if you want to but feel no pressure to do so. Enjoy!
- A cute Gold Rush game
- Strike it Rich! game (Gold Rush)
- Gin your own cotton by hand (a kit you can purchase, plus an instructional video you can watch online – this comes with several cotton bolls, so a few families could go in together on this one)
- Audio/Video slide show of the Gettysburg Address (scroll to bottom to find it)
- Abraham Lincoln’s Crossroads – an educational game
- The Life of Abraham Lincoln – an illustrated timeline for young readers
- And check out some American Folk music cds from the library – a great way to hear songs from the time period.
If any of the above links do not work, please email [email protected] and let us know!
