Don't forget to click over and comment about our character trait of the month, Resilience, to be entered in this month's drawing! Today is the last day and we'd love to hear from you!
Hooray for Friday! Spring is definitely in the air and the weekend lies ahead, full of potential. As you’re making plans, keep “Free Friday” in mind. The “free” doesn’t mean free of charge, or free from school, but time spent free from electronics and social media, time spent with family and friends in real face-to-face interaction.
For those of you looking to get out into the community, here are a few events happening around the area. Have a great weekend!
- Saturday at the Children’s Garden – Kid’s eARTh Day: Saturday, April 20th, 1:00-3:00 PM
- The SLO Children’s Museum has some special events in April, with a SLO Police Department Meet & Greet on Saturday, April 20th, 1:00-1:45 PM. And ongoing this month – Caterpillars! You can adopt a caterpillar for $2 and create it’s habitat in a butterfly bungalow. You can also create a tie-dye butterfly using spray watercolors at the Art Table. See website for more info on each of these events.
- The Central Coast State Parks Association has several hikes and events planned – click here to view their April Adventures.
- Cal Poly’s Open House is happening this weekend, and Saturday’s events are open to the public.
And finally, Mrs. Vacarro entered all the art students in the Arbor Day Art Contest. SLOCA intermediate had some winners!
