Who likes to eat? Down Home has some ideas to share today for our summer Play tip – Have fun with food! Here are a few suggestions for summertime food-related activities:
- Make homemade popsicles – here are several “real food” recipes.

- Pick berries or peaches at a local farm, then make some easy homemade freezer jam or a fresh pie.
- Make lemonade from scratch. Sip and savor outdoors.
- Have a “Food on a Stick” day.

- Wait for the ice cream truck (or go find one!) and get everyone a treat.
- Make some finger sandwiches or fun kid food, then go have a picnic or tea party.
- Create food sculptures then eat them.

- Make ice cream sundaes on Sundays.
