Happy Friday! We are back in the swing of things, one week into our new trimester. It’s a good idea to try to get back into the Free by Five routine as well, if you’ve fallen out of it over time. We can be resourceful with our time by spending it wisely, reserving some of life's precious hours to set aside our devices and interact with each other.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly event this weekend, you could try one of the following:
- Apple Blossom Days at the Apple Farm in SLO – Saturday, April 5th, 10AM-3PM
- Spring into Nature at the SLO Botanical Garden – Saturday, April 5th, 1-3PM
April is National Poetry month. Here’s a poem to take you into this beautiful spring weekend:
Blue-Butterfly Day
Robert Frost
It was a blue-butterfly day here in spring,
And with these sky-flakes down in flurry on flurry
There is more unmixed color on the wing
Than flowers will show for days unless they hurry.
But these are flowers that fly and all but sing:
And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.
