Although fall can be a busy time of year, we still love to sneak in reading when we can. We all know the reasons to read are many: learning (of course!), personal growth, reflection, developing a deeper understanding of human nature, or just to relax, to name a few. Charles William Eliot wisely said:
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
It’s always interesting to hear what others are reading, so we asked a few SLOCA parents what books they are currently in the middle of (or hoping to get to), and here are their responses:

I have an arsenal of booklets and several books that make the rotations on my nightstand and are read for inspiration, reference or daily meditations, as well as my daughter’s little notes, pictures and stories written for my viewing pleasure. Include hair clips, rubber bands, and anything else that may be left there between trips down the hallway!
