We are excited for our Mother-Son Bingo night this weekend! Saturday from 6-8 in the MPR. There may still be a few spots available – SIGN UP HERE! We hope all the moms and sons (or grandmas and grandsons) will have a blast at this super-fun event.
As always, we encourage you to set aside some technology-free family time this weekend. A game night, look through old photos, a walk around the neighborhood, going out for ice cream – these are simple activities that can build strong connections. If you want to get out and do something in the community, here are a few events happening this weekend:
- Make It and Take It: Valentine’s Mailbox – The Home Depot offers FREE Kids Workshops On the first Saturday of each month. This Saturday, February 6th, from 9am-12pm, kids can build a wooden Valentine’s mailbox and personalize it with paint. See website for more info and to register.
- California Western Monarch Day – Saturday, February 6th, 10am-2pm at the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove. There will be butterfly talks and educational booths for adults, as well as art activities for children, in addition to the thousands of Monarchs hanging in huge clusters from the eucalyptus and pine trees in the grove.
- Family Movie: Shaun the Sheep – Saturday, February 6th, 2-4pm at the Atascadero Library Community Room. This movie is rated PG.
- Meet the Pets from Woods Humane Society – Saturday, February 6th, 2-2:45 pm at the Arroyo Grande Library. Meet real shelter animals from Woods Humane Society and learn all about how this local group helps rescue our furry friends.
