Don’t let the title of today’s post scare you… for this Wednesday wonder we share a sweet moment that was overheard last trimester by one of our teachers, Alanna LaBine. Mrs. LaBine teaches UMS Science and Pre-Algebra on both tracks. Check out this entertaining moment of wonder she wrote in about:
I was in the bathroom and some 3rd graders (I think) walked in. One was saying how she just needed to recite her poem because she knew it too well. She recited it to a friend while waiting for a stall to open, and then another little girl was talking about the constellation she was studying, correcting herself to make sure she pronounced Ptolemy correctly. Then a third girl chimed in that Ptolemy discovered or studied her constellation as well. I thought to myself, “Only at SLOCA do we overhear third graders reciting poetry and discussing constellations in the bathroom.”
LOL, thanks for sharing this, Alanna!
