Today’s moment of wonder comes from my own (Jenny’s) household and it’s quick but cute. Recently while doing grammar on a home day, my 3rd grader Calvin looked up and said “Mom, I love doing grammar with you and talking about things like predicate nominatives and compound subjects and prepositional phrases. We sound so grown-up.”
It made me giggle but he was totally serious. What I love is that he’s engaged and really learning what these things are! If feeling “grown-up” about learning makes it more exciting, I’m all for it. I’m thankful that our school includes the study of grammar in the curriculum, and that I get to see my son’s face light up when talking about such “grown-up” topics.
Primary Recitations are TONIGHT for Track A and tomorrow night for Track B! Starting at 6 pm in the MPR…
