“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”
~G.K. Chesterton
Great job, everyone – we finished our first trimester! Did it fly by or drag by for you? Now it’s time to slow down a bit, take a break from the usual routine, and gather with family and friends in a spirit of gratitude as we celebrate Thanksgiving next week.
Did you download the FREE Thanksgiving Day Resource packet? It’s our newest holiday resource just for SLOCA families – there was a link in this week’s update, so go back and find it if you didn’t see it! This packet is chock full of information, fun facts, book and movie suggestions, and even websites with activities, to help you celebrate and commemorate this national holiday with your family.
The blog will also be taking a break next week. Let’s all unplug, rest, and recharge as we take time to focus on all we have to be thankful for. Down Home is so grateful for our faithful readers and our incredible SLOCA community!
Have a lovely, warm, delicious, Thanksgiving week!
If you like to look ahead and put things on the calendar, here are the upcoming student performances. If you have one to add to this list, please email Down Home!
