“The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing others' loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of the holidays.”
~ W. C. Jones
Our holiday break has begun, and the blog will slow down a little but we’ll still be around a bit during the next three weeks. Look for new content on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, except we will take off the week of December 26-30.
Consider getting together with other SLOCA parents during the break. Make time for community, to share encouragement and resources with each other, and to help recharge and rest up for a new year together.
We hope your holiday season is magical, shared with those you love and those whose lives you brighten. Down Home considers it a gift to be part of your life and we wish you every joy!
One last time, here are the student performances you can see this month. As always, please email Down Home if you have future events to add to this list – let’s keep it going in the new year!

SLOCA students Violet Talley (LMS, Track A), Catherine Walz (Primary, Track A), and Kate Fisher (High School) will be performing in this show. Amelia Walz (HS) is working backstage and costume crew.
