For today’s wonder moment, we wanted to share about the Intermediate STEM class that was offered recently as a 4-week Friday class. Third and fourth grade students were invited to participate in engineering design challenges, led by Cal Poly Engineering students.
The kids had a blast creating engineering-focused projects that related to our history: Westward Expansion and water filters, boats for the Erie Canal, Thomas Jefferson and clocks, and slavery and hat making.
The ability to partner with Cal Poly for opportunities such as this class is one of the reasons we love being located so close to their campus! It was a wonderful collaboration that provided fun, educational, and enriching lessons for our students.
