San Luis Obispo Classical Academy San Luis Obispo Classical Academy

Welcome to Down Home, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy’s blog! We are a classical school offering several options to make our education work for families with infants through high schoolers. Our signature hybrid program, which is part-time classroom and part-time home instruction, provides an engaging education for preschool through middle school (with full time options available). We also have a university model high school. This blog is meant to support and encourage on the home front because, in so many ways, the heart of what happens at SLO Classical Academy happens down home.

Semper discentes—always learning together.

Team SLOCA Friday Faves: High School

{staff photo by Cameron Ingalls}

Our high school teachers are the next group up! We absolutely love our high school and these teachers are a big part of the reason why. Whether you have a high school student now or will one day, we hope you enjoy getting to know this team through the photos they’ve shared. Here are a few of their favorite things, or things they use every day, or objects that represent something important to them.

While some included comments, others didn’t, so if you want the story behind any of those items you’ll have to find the teacher and ask. In most cases you can click on each photo to see a slightly larger version.

Finally, we want to remind you that although we don’t have photos of each teacher to go along with their curated “faves” photos, you can find a sketch of many (but not all) of our Team SLOCA members on the Our Staff page of our website.
