Another Friday, another reason to celebrate! As you head into the weekend we hope you have some good old-fashioned family fun. We haven’t talked about “Free by 5:00” much this year, but we still encourage you to make some time over the weekend (it doesn’t have to be 5 pm), to spend some device-and-electronics-free time together as a family.
It seems we are all getting used to screens being part of life, and it can be hard to know what to do together without them! Here’s a fun idea: try this Family Drawing Game. This activity can be hilarious as well as good for your brain!
We also want to pass along this news, if you haven’t heard about it yet – King Tut is coming to LA! The California Science Center, next to the USC campus, is featuring a new exhibit called “King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh” to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. It opens March 24th and claims to be the largest King Tut exhibition that has ever been on tour, with over 150 artifacts from King Tut’s tomb (including some which have never traveled outside of Egypt until now). Click here for info and tickets.
Remember there are no classes on campus this coming Monday or Tuesday, February 19-20, in honor of President's Day – enjoy the long weekend!
