Today, we would like to bring your attention to a couple of local bike tracks in our area. And even if you don’t own a bike, this first trail is great for all levels of walkers, hikers and runners. The Bob Jones Trail in Avila Beach starts off on Ontario road, parallels Highway 101, runs alongside the San Luis Obispo Creek and goes behind the Avila Valley Barn fields. You can take this trail all the way to the Avila Pier for an enjoyable 3-miler.
And if you’re seeking for more of a challenge, head on over to the Morro Bay Bike Park. This park is maintained by its riders and volunteers and you’ll often see brooms, extra helmets and tire pumps available (free to borrow) for its riders.

The city describes it as incorporating, “aspects of bike riding that include pump track, dirt jumps, mountain bike skills and is designed for all ages and skill levels to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for all riders.”
