Happy Monday, everyone! The image above of the Cluny Abbey reminded us of our hills. From all the rain we received, our hills are so green and beautiful. Have you noticed them while driving around this weekend? It’s quite a sight! We hope you had a refreshing last couple of days and are ready for another week of learning.
Before we get to our resources, we want to remind our current families that we have an incredible Martin Luther King, Jr. packet available for you on our Parent Portal page. We encourage you to learn more about Dr. King and his incredible contribution to our country by checking out these resources.
In class this week, our students will learn more about the Feudal system and the roles within this system. Some are finishing up their Motte and Bailey castles while others are engaging in their Socratic seminars. We’re also finishing up 1001 Arabian Nights culminating with a delicious feast in some of our classrooms and then we begin the Adventures of Robin Hood next! At home, some of our students prepare for their Day in the Life on a Fiefdom speeches, put finishing touches on their first personal essays and begin the experimentation steps for their Science Fair projects
As you can see, this week is chock full of learning opportunities for you and your students! A couple of other really neat happenings, this time for our middle school students, in the area of Art that’s coming up are the SLOMA Awaken Art Contest and SLOCA’s Yearbook Cover contest. Make sure to check those links out!
