Happy Friday, everyone! We’re back with our next Sponsor Spotlight! Over the years, SLOCA has had tremendous support through our Sponsorship program. Our sponsors are businesses committed to education.
“Every dollar of the money allocated for the sponsorship fund is earmarked for student development—preparing them for their role in our community.”
In exchange for their support, we provide them with different ways to promote their businesses. You can find our supporters through our SLOCA website, our weekly Bear Necessities and our daily blog. They are an integral part of our community and we wanted our readers to get to know them. And what better way to learn more about our supporters than right here!
This month’s Sponsor Spotlight is on Atlas which is owned by Eric & Carrie Kimmell. The Kimmell’s are in their 6th year at SLOCA, with boys in 3rd grade and Kindergarten.
Let’s read on and find out more them!
Tell us a little bit about your business and the story about how you got started?
We own and operate Atlas Real Estate and Investment, which is a residentially-focused real estate company. We work with clients to find homes that fit their needs, negotiate advantageous deals, and work to make the process as seamless as possible for all involved. We also work in investment real estate from single family home remodels to multi-family properties and value-add opportunities.
Eric’s background in architecture and construction has been a big asset to our team. Prior to founding Atlas, Eric worked for a large design-build firm in downtown Los Angeles and also oversaw development projects in Santa Barbara. We returned to the Central Coast to run the San Luis Obispo branch for a large California based REIT where we did everything from traditional home sales to rebuilding entire neighborhoods during the downturn.
How long have you been a business owner?
Eric and I took our experience and founded Atlas in 2012 with a desire to build a full-service, concierge-style real estate company.
Who do you normally work with?
We work with a wide range of clients ranging from experienced investors to first time home buyers. We cover the whole county from Nipomo to San Miguel and out to the coast. My background in equine and agriculture has also allowed us to serve agriculturally minded clientele, helping them to sell or purchase large acreage and/or ranch properties.
What drives your passion for this business?
We love property and we love putting people together with property. We understand that for the traditional home buyer, a home is a foundation for their life and lifestyle. For investment minded clients, we understand that an investment is a step toward freedom in their future. We believe in setting realistic expectations and strive to keep things simple; and when they’re not, we’re here to get them through it.
How do you set yourself apart from other similar businesses?
We listen to our clients. Oftentimes when we really let people talk, we realize their original goals may not always serve them best and we work to adjust. We are adaptable and we realize life is fluid and things change. We do our best to stay tuned to them and the changing market.
How does Atlas serve a higher purpose for you and your customers?
Atlas is a vehicle for change and looking to the future. Real estate can be a pathway to a better life whether it be a home for their family or an investment property that puts them closer to their financial goals. We welcome the opportunity to be involved in this process and assist them in an important investment.
What would you say is the most important benefit you deliver?
We are a full-service brokerage meaning that we will advise from the conception to the close of a deal. Our unique background in architecture and design, coupled with our hands-on construction and investment experience deliver a one of a kind team that will take you from start to finish.
Thank you, Kimmel family, for joining us today and sharing about your business! We truly appreciate your continued support of SLOCA!!
