It is Friday. Anyone else struggling to keep track of what day it is? Last Friday we relaunched a series titled, Sponsor Spotlight, and now more than ever, we feel it is important to highlight our fantastic sponsors. Local businesses are an integral part of what we all love about the Central Coast. We want to make sure that during these challenging times we support them in any way we can. And keep in mind, SLOCA is a local business too. 

We have four businesses to highlight today; some are still operating amidst all the closures and others have closed their doors for the time being. • Talley Farms Fresh Harvest: Our Talley Farms boxes are an easy way to eat healthy and feel good with fresh produce you can trust. Our subscription program is flexible, organized and offers a great selection in every box. Our produce boxes take out the middleman by delivering directly to you at convenient pick-up locations throughout the Central Coast….or directly to your home! We believe freshly picked produce makes the best meals for every member of your family. Recipes are included in every box.

Briefly share how your business started?

• Sport Clips Hair Salon: Keshet and I bought the Sport Clips in SLO three years ago. We were involved in franchising and Sport Clips was a client for many years. We love the concept of a hair salon that caters to men and boys, so when the opportunity came up to buy this one, we took it.
• Kevin Forsythe MD Inc.: I did my training in Chicago and after five years in Northern California, we moved here to raise our family on the central coast and I hung up a shingle.
• George G Ross CPA PFS CFP: Ten years ago after gaining valuable experience from working for both large and small CPA firms, I was completely ready to open my own CPA practice.
• Talley Farms Fresh Harvest: The Talley family has been farming produce in the Arroyo Grande Valley since 1948. For the last 70 years, we’ve been supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to our local area and all over the U.S. and Canada.

Why have you chosen to sponsor SLOCA?

• Sport Clips Hair Salon: We love SLOCA. Our kids attend SLOCA so we love supporting the school and community. We give SLOCA families a discount on haircuts, so they can check us out.

• Talley Farms Fresh Harvest: We are huge fans of SLOCA and have been since the school started 15 years ago. How do you set yourself apart from other similar businesses?

• Sport Clips Hair Salon: We have our MVP treatment, which is the haircut, shampoo, hot steam towel, and neck and shoulder massage. I know a lot of guys don’t stop and relax very often. When I get my haircut, it’s one of the only times I stop and relax a bit!
• Kevin Forsythe MD Inc.: I have a great deal of experience with arthroscopic procedures and am double board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
• George G Ross CPA PFS CFP: Tax Planning and Wealth Management, after having earned two separate master’s degrees, one in accounting and the other in Financial Planning, I am uniquely qualified to answer my clients’ wide spectrum of questions regarding accounting, tax, tax planning, finance, financial analysis, investments, retirement planning, business planning, and cash flow management.
