It is the start of Week 4! Can you believe it? Have you settled into some school routines? Today we have Mix-ins for our Intermediate — UMS as they learn about the French and Indian War. Or is it the Seven Years’ War? Well, this particular war is generally known as the French and Indian War in North America, and the Seven Years’ War in Europe (it lasted 9 years). This war is often considered the first “world war”. Our Primary students will continue learning about the Iroquois. You’ll find some mix-ins for them in last week’s post.
Fun Fact: The above image is a painting done by Benjamin West in 1770. It is titled The Death of General Wolfe. Wolfe was a British general in the French and Indian War. Click the link to learn more about this painting.
One more thing before we get to the Mix-ins — Did you know that you have access to a detailed History Outline for this trimester put together by our Curriculum Consultant, Edie Overton? Check it out in the Parent Portal under Subject Resources. You’ll also find a TON of other helpful resources. Now on to the Mix-ins.
