Wow! What a week it has been with all this weather! We hope you have been able to stay dry, safe, and healthy over these past few damp days. Today we want to introduce you to two more of our wonderful sponsors. Enjoy learning about them and their businesses.
Your name and the name of your business:
- Maartje and Ryan Lawrence | SLO Movement Arts Center
- David Wood | San Luis Obispo Caregivers
Tell us about your business. What services does it provide?
- SLO Movement Arts Center: To inspire a lifelong interest in the performing arts, create ballet dancers of a recognized caliber, and develop model young individuals by encouraging commitment, dedication, and the sustained pursuit of excellence in the art of dance.
- San Luis Obispo Caregivers: When seniors can no longer be safe at home, you need a trusted place to find help. We work with over 100 in-home caregivers and all local care homes to help find the right choice to keep their loved ones safe. We help simplify this very complex issue.
Briefly share how your business started?
- SLO Movement Arts Center: We moved from the Netherlands to grow our family in San Luis Obispo and we felt compelled to bring Art and beauty to this community. And a European style conservatory and productions to inspire the future dancers and audiences of this lovely community…
- San Luis Obispo Caregivers: About five years ago, my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and needed care. I felt the stress and uncertainty. I helped my mom and have since helped hundreds of local people go through this process. My company keeps your loved ones safe.
Why have you chosen to sponsor SLOCA?
- SLO Movement Arts Center: We have 3 very happy kids attending SLOCA this year and we have had many many clients that attend SLOCA. We always enjoy the creativity, communication skills, and knowledge in the students we share!
- San Luis Obispo Caregivers: My two daughters love attending SLOCA High School and we want to support our school.
How do you set yourself apart from other similar businesses?
- SLO Movement Arts Center: We are the only program on the central coast that offers a Conservatory dance program, which means dancers commit to several hours of training and experiences depending on their age and ability, to receive the best, most full round and beautiful dance and Arts experience/training. Just like SLOCA. We are a school but then for dance…And many alumni go on to colleges and/or professional schools after leaving us. And many others will have grown a lifelong love for the Arts.
- San Luis Obispo Caregivers: We take pride in only selecting caregivers that have at least 5 years of experience in helping seniors. Most of our business comes from referrals.
A HUGE thank you to all of our SLO Classical Academy Sponsors!
