And now for some Latin…
This Week’s Latin Phrase: Tempus Fugit
What does it mean?
Tempus fugit means time flies.
How is it used today?
Just as it says, a reminder that time passes quickly.
Why should we and our students be familiar with it?
Time indeed does fly, though one does not particularly consider this when you are young. But eventually, you come to realize that each season of life passes on to the next; you will not always be safe in your mother’s arms. One day you are holding your baby and the next you wonder where the time has gone as your children are holding their own babies. Each and every day is a gift.
Thank you so much Mrs. Gerhardt for that beautiful reminder. Let us exhort one another over the next few weeks as we finish up this school year to remember – tempus fugit.
