Thanksgiving is almost here! Perhaps you are already planning a sumptuous feast, but even if you aren’t the one cooking the main meal, it’s a smart idea to buy a turkey anyway – I found this great blog post by Aimee from Simple Bites with four different recipes you can make with one turkey:
Eat Well, Spend Less: One Turkey, Four Meals
She gives step-by-step instructions on how to break down the bird, and then four delicious recipes:
Mustard & Herb Crusted Turkey Breast
Roasted Turkey Legs with Winter Root Vegetables
Turkey, Arugula & Havarti Panini
Quick Turkey Noodle Soup
It’s an economical way to eat, with plenty of variety so you don’t feel like you’re eating turkey leftovers… again… It’s also nice to have these recipes on hand for other times during the year when you just want to make something with a turkey!
Whether you’re cooking the big dinner at your house, or traveling to enjoy time with loved ones, Down Home wishes you a Thanksgiving day filled with gratitude, special moments with friends and family, and good food!
