This month's character trait is Stewardship. One way to be good stewards of our time, money, and the environment is to share the responsibility of driving to and from school by carpooling with other families. Today Cozy Faber, our Development Director, wants to remind us about an excellent opportunity coming up tomorrow:
Like a pond that draws the parched, so too does SLOCA attract families from near and far. In fact we have students who trek in from as far north as San Miguel and as far south as Orcutt! While the commute is only two or three days a week, we have found that many who are driving-in prefer to share the responsibility and carpool with each other.
Carpool Connection:
This year we are creating a carpool connection and collecting names of people who are interested in carpooling and connecting them with others in their area. To participate in the carpool connection be sure to visit campus during the Popsicle Party on September 7th from 1pm-3pm. We will have a designated table set up for the purpose of carpool match-making!
