Our very own Thaddeus Kozinski is leading our week of training this year on the theory and practice of seminar. Please RSVP for every session you plan on attending!
Tuesday, January 8th (5:30-8:30 pm)- What is “open-ended” discussion and what is it good for?
Soup, salad, and bread will be served
Wednesday, January 9th (5:30-8:30 pm)- Is this what we believe? SLOCA’s Educational Creed
Lasagna and salad will be served
Thursday, January 10th (5:30-8:30 pm)- “Open-ended seminar?—but they need to do know things, do well on the SAT, and get into a good college!”
Charcuterie including cheese, olives, crackers, and bread will be served
Friday, January 11th (8:30-10:30 am)- How can seminar teaching at the elementary and middle levels help prevent “excellent sheep” and form “independent shepherds”?
Nut & fruit mix will be served
