It seems rather serendipitous that our Mix-ins on the Star-Spangled Banner coincide with the Super Bowl. Whether you watch the game or not today, perhaps tune in for the performance of our national anthem. (It’s a duet this year.)
However, we have more than just this famous song to learn about this week. Our students will be delving into the War of 1812, and the Indian wars along with learning about Francis Scott Key and our 4th President, James Madison.
We Have A Winner!
Before we get to our Mix-ins for Monday, we wanted to say Thank You to all of you who filled out our Reading Recommendations survey. Be on the lookout for upcoming blog posts featuring your recommendations. However, today we are excited to announce the winner of our $15 gift cards to The Den and Fred & Betty’s — Congratulations to Morgan White!
