The 19th amendment to the constitution was ratified in 1920, however, it was decades in the making. This week our LMS and UMS students will look at some of the brave women who started the fight for women’s rights in the US. Sadly, many of them did not live to see the 19th amendment ratified, but their work was foundational to its passing. Our Primary and Intermediate students will focus on slavery in the US this week, so please refer to last week’s Mix-ins for Mondays for a collection of enrichment resources.
