Tomorrow is Children's Day in the Plaza, and our very own Little Wonders will have a booth at the event. Come on out and support our preschool while you enjoy the day!
Then tomorrow evening is our sold-out Father-Daughter Dance, from 6:30-8:30 in the MPR. We wish all the dads and daughters attending a magical evening together.
Did you know that tomorrow is also Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R) day? According to the D.E.A.R. website, “D.E.A.R. programs have been held nationwide on April 12th in honor of Beverly Cleary’s birthday, since she first wrote about D.E.A.R. in Ramona Quimby, Age 8.”

The idea is to drop something you’d otherwise be doing (chores, errands, paperwork, etc.) and read! Reading is even more fun and rewarding if you’re getting out of something else that you’d rather not be doing, right? So tomorrow is a day to indulge, if you choose to.
As for the rest of your weekend, here are some local events happening around the county:
- Spring Fling in Grover Beach, for children ages 12 and under – Friday, April 11, 3-5pm
- Children’s Day in the Plaza in downtown SLO – Saturday, April 12, 10am-3pm
- KiteXPO in Pismo Beach – Friday, April 11-Sunday, April 13
- Bunny Town and Chick City in Atascadero – every Sunday from April 13-27
