Can we really be halfway through April?
Cherish each of these days with your kids. They are flying by! Spend some time with loved ones this weekend and aim to be tech-free together for a select amount of time. Here are a few events happening locally this weekend:
- Conservation Celebration – At the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero, Saturday, April 16 from 10am-2pm. Click the link for more info.
- Kids Free Fishing Clinic – At Lopez Lake in Arroyo Grande, Saturday, April 16, 9am. This clinic is for children age 15 and under. All equipment is provided. Everyone gets a chance to fish. Meet at the Nature Center near the Marina. The event is cancelled if it rains. There is a $10 parking fee. For event Info: (805) 788-2381.
- Imagination Playground – At the Arroyo Grande Library, Saturday, April 16 from 2-3:30 pm. All ages are welcome to come play with giant blue blocks that are designed to encourage sharing and collaboration. For more info contact: Rebecca Nadel at (805) 473-7161 or [email protected].
- Poetry Open Mic – Also at the Arroyo Grande Library, Saturday, April 16 from 2-3:00 pm. Calling all Poets…come share your poetry at the Arroyo Grande Library’s Poetry Open Mic Event. For more info contact: Michele Holland at (805) 473-7164.
Also, Academy Classes and Clubs start up again today, and this evening our Parent Book Club will meet at 7pm in the SLOCA main offices to discuss a couple of short stories from James Joyce’s Dubliners.
