Did you know that we have 3 weeks of Summer Camps at SLOCA? Today on Down Home we have a sneak peek into all the fun things that happened at camp last week! For our Preschool and Kindergarteners, SLOCA held a Wonder Around the World camp where students figuratively traveled around the world, engaging their imaginations as they experienced stories from around the world. For our 1st through 8th grade we held our very first Theater Camp, led by Michele Stevens, our Den manager and long time theater maestro! The week was designed to introduce students to a variety of elements and principles used in the process of theater production and appreciation of theater arts. At the end of the week, students gave a special performance on the theme “All for One”, featuring songs and dances that they had learned during the week. As you can see from the photos, the kids had a blast!
This week we have:
Wonder Around the World (preschool-kindergarten): 8:30am-3pm
STEAM Camp (1st-4th grade): 8:30am-3pm
Volleyball Camp (5th-8th grade): 2-4pm
For our third and final week we have:
Wonder Around the World (preschool-kindergarten): 8:30am-3pm
Nature Camp (1st-4th grade): 8:30am-3pm
Basketball Camp (5th-8th grade): 2-4pm
There are some spots still available for our third week of camp!
