SLOCA families, did you get the link to the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Resources packet that was included in the recent weekly update? Break out the green and have fun learning more about this holiday and celebrating in whatever way your family chooses.
This weekend there are a few events happening that you might want to be a part of:
• Upper Middle School Party – Tonight! 6-9pm in the MPR, $5 admission. All SLOCA UMS students are encouraged to come, dressed your favorite classical book or book character. There will be food, fun, friends, prizes, special guest(s) etc., etc.
• SLO Film Fest screening of Hearing is Believing and live concert – Sunday, March 19th at 2:30 pm. This inspiring documentary tells the story of the young, sight-impaired piano virtuoso Rachel Flowers. She lives in Ventura County, but she has deep roots in SLO County. Both her parents and grandparents played in local bands and her grandparents owned a music store in Arroyo Grande. The movie is family-friendly, and there is a student discount ($10 – regular admission is $12). Following the movie, there will be a live concert by Rachel. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
• Ballet Theatre – San Luis Obispo Youth Performance Showcase – Kate Fischer (Sophomore), Violet Talley (LMS, Track A), and Catherine Walz (Primary, Track A) are performing in this showcase on March 26 (6 pm) and 27 (3 pm). Tickets can be purchased on the bt-slo.org website.
See you back at school next week to start Trimester 3!
