Get ready for major adorableness… today we have a wonder moment shared by our Track B Preschool teacher, Jessica Wilson, about a recent visit our Preschool and Junior K classes enjoyed:
What's more fun than a reading of Peggy Rathman's Officer Buckle and Gloria? A special story time with an actual officer, that's what! Little Wonders Track B was treated to a story time with SLOPD Officer Stahnke. Officer Stahnke chatted with JrK & Preschool, read a story, took questions from his rapt audience (though, truth be told we're still working on what constitutes a question) and then gave the kiddos an eyes-only tour of his car.
The children partnered up for the quick jaunt outside and were in awe of the vehicle, it's lights, and most importantly, the dashboard computer. According to the preschoolers, the coolest take away for them was the computer (well, that and how even if you get a ticket you're not really a bad guy). After a short wait on the bricks, the children were rewarded with another officer visit, this one on a MOTORCYCLE! With sirens and lights on, Officer Sizemore roared in and treated the children to gold badge stickers as they walked around and checked out his decked out bike. He even had his helmet on which was rule number 7 in Officer Buckle and Gloria!
Thank you Officers Stahnke & Sizemore for the (L)awesome visit!
