Preschool TA

Originally from Burbank, CA, Jill Stavros earned her B.A. from Humboldt State University and an A.S. in Culinary Arts from the California Culinary Academy. After years as a stay-at-home mom raising twin boys, she missed being around children and wanted to make a difference in young lives. She joined SLOCA in August 2020 as a preschool aide, drawn by the school's emphasis on play and literature. Inspired by the amazing elementary teachers who shaped her childhood, she understands how reading can open up a child's world. Outside the classroom, Jill enjoys walking on the beach with her dog, volunteering with the Feline Network, traveling, and making dinner for her sons.
