Educator, consultant, and therapist, Keith McCurdy, M.A., Ed.S, returns to SLOCA for another year! In 2021-22, Keith joined us for an evening on Living Sturdy and Raising Sturdy Kids, and it was such a helpful experience for staff, students, and parents alike that we’ve invited him back for more. Whether you attended last time or you missed out, this seminar will be useful to you. He will discuss the value of allowing our children to struggle, and how it’s required in order for children to grow into “sturdy adults”—adults who can face life’s challenges with maturity, resilience, and perseverance. Other topics he’ll cover are giving an overview of student mental health, the impact of technology, and how to have healthy communication strategies with our kids. Connect with other SLOCA parents as we learn together (semper discentes!).
