Bekah Lacanienta

EC Assistant Teacher

Originally from San Diego, Bekah Lacanienta has been surrounded by babies and toddlers since she was a toddler herself. Growing up, her mother ran an in-home daycare, and Bekah's had a passion for childcare ever since. She graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and worked as a preschool teacher in Encinitas, as well as for SLOCA's summer camps, before joining the team officially in 2026. For Bekah, classical education goes beyond just academics — it's about the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. When she's not in the classroom, Bekah loves to dance and would like to improve her salsa skills in particular!
