Great to have you back! If you’re wondering what Tuesdays typically look like here at Down Home, you can expect to find topics relating to homeschooling, home life, chores, parenting, organization, recipes, and parent-contributed posts such as the ever-popular “A Day in the Life” series. (Email Down Home if you think you’d like to contribute a Day in the Life post this year, and we will contact you about it later.)
We also host occasional contests/drawings, and this year we are starting right off with an easy opportunity for SLOCA families to win a $20 gift card to our school store!
There are two ways to enter the contest, because there are two things we want to be sure everyone is aware of:
1) Subscribe to Down Home! For new families, or those who aren’t regular blog readers yet, the easiest way to keep current with SLOCA’s blog is to subscribe to Down Home via email, which allows you to receive a message in your inbox each time new content is posted. It’s so simple – click here to subscribe. (This link is also found in the left column above the Categories menu.) Anyone who subscribes to Down Home starting this week will be entered into the drawing!
2) Like us on Facebook! This is another way to stay connected with what’s going on at SLOCA, our local community, and fellow SLOCA parents, plus you’ll enjoy all the other fun and interesting items that we post here! If you haven't yet “Liked” our school’s Facebook page, please come on over and click the Like button so you’ll see SLOCA content in your Facebook news feed. Anyone who Likes SLOCA on Facebook will also be entered into the drawing!
Yes, you can enter twice by both subscribing to the blog and Liking our Facebook page, but please leave a comment below (include your name) telling us that you subscribed to Down Home, and leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know you Liked our Facebook page. That way we will be sure to get each of your entries into the drawing.
Okay… so what about all of you faithful parents who are already subscribed to the blog and already Like us on Facebook? We deeply appreciate you and thank you for supporting all of our online communities! If you fall into this category, we want to give you a chance to enter too. If you’re already subscribed to Down Home AND keep up with SLOCA on Facebook, leave a comment below with one reason why you think other SLOCA parents should subscribe and Like us. Anyone who leaves a comment like this will be entered into the drawing!
