“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.”
~ Washington Irving
Sunday is Mother’s Day! Let’s take a moment (or a whole day) to be grateful for our mothers and connect with them.
To all of our readers who are moms out there, Down Home wishes you a sweet and special Mother’s Day! We hope you feel cherished, honored, and loved – you have the most important job and are indeed the truest friend your child could have. We especially honor all you SLOCA moms who are doing the hard stuff along with the delightful stuff, week after week. We are thankful for you and the community you make possible here!
Have a wonderful weekend celebrating all the mothers in your life, and/or being celebrated!
