Family: like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.

Although we are wrapping up our Down Home summer series and our 5 family time ideas every Friday, you can be sure that we will often suggest fun family activities to help keep your family connected throughout the school year! But here are a final few to consider for the weekend, or anytime:
1. Go for a drive with no plans and see where you end up.
2. Knock on your front door with your video camera going.
Make a recording of your kids showing you around the house and talking about their day, their summer, their thoughts about school starting… this is a wonderful keepsake!
3. Build a fort.
Let the kids do their first week of homeschool in it!
4. Write love notes to each child to include in their lunch or backpack on the first day of school.
5. Let the kids plan a family night!
Monday and Tuesday are our first days of school – we look forward to seeing everyone on campus to start a fantastic year together! And new parents, don't miss the coffee and tour just for you! Meet at the Den at 8:45 am on your first school day.
Also on Monday, Down Home will resume posting new content 5 days a week, so be sure to visit often…
