My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, 'You're tearing up the grass'; 'We're not raising grass,' Dad would reply. 'We're raising boys.'

It’s that time of the week again… the end of it! Here are five more suggestions for family time activities to enjoy together. Just pick one (or one from any previous Friday this summer) and try it out:
1. Assign “Secret Santas” to each other.
Maybe for a week, or a day (even though it’s not Christmas), and do kind acts for each other.
2. Create an obstacle course outdoors and have a race.
3. Take a family nature walk.
4. Play in the sprinklers together.
5. Have a family cooking lesson.
