Computers are useless. They can only give you answers.
~ Pablo Picasso
Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.
~ Roger Lewin
Happy Friday! Maybe we don’t think computers are totally useless, but the above quotes remind us that the journey of discovery is about questioning, trying, experimenting, and problem-solving… all of which are usually more important than just finding answers. As our students dive into their science fair projects, let’s remember this and encourage them no matter what happens throughout the process.
Since it’s Friday, we hope you enjoy some computer-free family and friend time this weekend, talking together, laughing together, and holding them close.
Don’t forget that even though Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school is still in session next Monday and Tuesday – see you then!
