Join us at the Grand campus for a “Night on the Nile”: an evening of celebration, learning, and…mummies! This History Day will showcase what our students have been learning about ancient Egypt, from its history to its culture. Show up in your best ancient Egyptian, mummy, museum docent, archaeologist, or even Indiana Jones costume! (Check out our 2013 Down Home blog post for inspiration or throw it all the way back to our 2009 event photos!)
During the event, we will host two fundraisers:
- A chili dinner to raise money for SLOCA Theater
- A bake sale to raise money for the Wonders program (our infant + toddler programs)
Schedule
4:00 PM — Track B, 9th Grade, and 11th Grade Present (Chili Dinner + Bake Sale opens)
4:50 PM — Intermission
5:30 PM — Track A, 10th Grade, and 12th Grade Present
6:20 PM — End
Parking
We will have parking available at the Grand Campus, and there is additional parking available in the neighborhoods south of the 101 Highway. We will have a shuttle service running throughout the event to pick up families at the Vets Hall (Grand Ave and Palm St) and drop them off at SLOCA. This same shuttle will be available to bring families back to the Vets Hall, as well.
