Brandy Blackburn

Early Childhood Director

Brandy Blackburn knows SLO County. A third-generation Templeton native, she developed a passion for education early in life, reading about the hows and whys of things even as a young child. Brandy pursued her interest in learning at Cal Poly SLO, where she earned a B.S. in Child Development. Prior to joining the SLOCA team in 2025, she served as the Center Supervisor at Paso Robles Head Start/Early Head Start for CAPSLO. For her, SLOCA stood out because of our dedication to literature and the enrichment it provides students at all ages, including at the preschool level. When not reading or working, Brandy can be found with her family, listening to local bands, and working in the barns at the Mid-State Fair as the leader of the Templeton 4-H Swine Group.
