UMS History Lit + Logic Teacher

Before joining the SLOCA faculty, Cade first became part of the community as a parent. He and his wife chose SLOCA because they believed in the promise of a classical education for their children, and as they watched that education shape their family, Cade's commitment to the school deepened. He went on to serve on SLOCA's Board of Directors before joining the faculty in 2016 as a History and Literature teacher, later adding Logic to his teaching responsibilities. A graduate of Cal Poly, Cade earned his bachelor's degree in English, followed by his teaching credential and master's degree. Before coming to SLOCA, he taught at a local middle school for fifteen years. Inspired by the transformative power of classical education, he is passionate about inviting students into the Great Conversation, helping them cultivate wisdom, articulate their ideas, and discover their own voice.
