Christiane Flores
Primary Classroom Aide
Education has always been a part of Christiane Flores’s life. Originally from the Central Valley, Christiane grew up surrounded by teachers. Both her grandparents and her parents were teachers, so the joy of teaching and the love for children were baked into her early childhood experience. Christiane earned her B.A. in Digital Art and Design from CSU Monterey Bay and a K-6 bilingual teaching credential from Cal Poly. Before joining the SLOCA team in 2023, Christiane worked as a substitute teacher. For her, SLOCA is such a warm, inspiring place to teach and learn. It’s so fun being able to discuss subjects like poetry and ancient history in detail with elementary-aged children. Learning is a lifelong pursuit for Christiane, and in the future, she’d love to take classes in ballet and cooking.
