Deena works with our first and second graders and considers SLOCA an incredible community that holds fast to exceptional ideals. The idea that all people should be continually learning and growing has been an aspect of classical education that she has consistently admired. When she first started homeschooling 22 years ago, her love of learning was ignited and the world never looked the same. Originally from Los Angeles, Deena went to Cuesta and DeAnza. When she’s not on campus, she’s probably puttering around in the kitchen, playing baseball with Finn, or traveling to visit her big kids. She’d also really like to learn an instrument, specifically the piano!
